RESTORATIONS hit the UK on tour this month
with support from The Smith Street Band and Astpai
“Restorations mix Torche-style sludge with everyman’s punk that’s
somewhere between The Hold Steady and Hot Water Music and it’s as
good in real life as it sounds on paper.” - Brooklyn Vegan
“LP2 is a unique strain of shot-throat, effects pedal-basted Americana
rock stirring with worldly nostalgia and existential metaphors. Spoiler alert:
it’s pretty great. ” - Alternative Press
Restorations are heading to the UK this month for a run of headline dates with The Smith Street Band and Astpai in support. Take a look at a live performance from the band’s label SideOneDummy to get you in the mood – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-A6O5TZAdl8.
Restorations’ most recent album ‘LP2’ was released last year and the band have been busy working on its follow-up at their hometown Philadelphia’s Miner Street Studios. It’s expected for release later this year.
‘LP2’ is a collection of refreshingly honest and soulful tunes bound together with a heart of punk rock but full to the brim with a diverse range of influences from delicate folk to post-rock delay-pedalling to grunge-like riffs. It’s all of these elements and more that contribute to Restorations’ raw yet intricate approach and it’s this eclectic mix that gives the band’s live show an edge like no other.
